At Traveller's STAY & PLAY, we understand that trusting someone with your dog is a big decision. That’s why we’ve created a doggy daycare and dog boarding environment that feels less like a kennel — and more like a second home, located in Waynesville, Ohio.
We are a dog-only daycare and dog boarding facility dedicated to providing attentive care, structured play, and a safe, enriching experience for every guest. Whether your dog is spending the day with us or staying overnight, they are treated like family from the moment they arrive.
Our services are offered in a climate-controlled, home-like facility featuring indoor carpeted playrooms with couches, beds, and toys, along with five spacious grass yards and four gravel yards. We make your pets feel like they are at home.
We are a proud member of the International Boarding and Pet Services Association (IBPSA), and our staff is trained in Pet First Aid and CPR. Evaluations & Why We Do Them
All dogs attending Traveller's STAY & PLAY must be social and exhibit no aggression toward people or other dogs. To ensure a safe and positive experience for every guest, all new dogs are required to complete a temperament evaluation prior to joining daycare or boarding.
Evaluations include structured interaction to assess play style, social behavior, and comfort in a group setting.
Evaluation Requirements:
- Dogs must be at least 6 months old
- Dogs must be spayed by 6 months or neutered by 12 months.
- Current vaccinations required: Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella
- Evaluations are scheduled Monday–Friday at 1:00 PM, and last approximately 30 minutes, pet parents required to attend.

Doggy Daycare (Monday - Friday)
Our daycare program offers interactive, supervised group play in carefully selected playgroups based on size, temperament, and energy level. Dogs enjoy socialization, mental stimulation, and plenty of exercise as well as rest in a controlled environment with up to 12 other dogs per kennel attendant. Dogs do take a rest period in the morning and evening to prevent over exhaustion and will have their own spacious kennel and bed to nap.
Hours for drop off: 7 am-12 pm
Hours for pick up : 3 pm-6:30 pm
Dog Boarding (Open 365 days a year!)
Boarding at Traveller's STAY & PLAY goes beyond a place to sleep. Our boarding guests follow a daily routine that includes playtime, rest, meals, and interactive, supervised group play, to help them feel comfortable and secure during their stay.
Most kennels are 5X7 or larger, with the majority featuring a 5x10 outside run (weather permitting). We provide raised Kuranda beds, blankets, and stainless steel bowls. Crates can be utilized by request for bedtime if your pup does better in a smaller space.
Baths may be added during boarding prior to pickup, price weight dependent.
